Network & Nourish: Meet The Candidate Forum

The Greater Houston Black Chamber (GHBC), in proud partnership with the NAACP Houston Branch, presents a special edition of our signature series: Network & Nourish – Meet the Candidate Edition, taking place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the historic Eldorado Ballroom.

With over 20 candidates currently running for Texas’s 18th Congressional District, this forum will offer a vital platform for them to share their visions, policy priorities, and leadership goals directly with Houston’s business community, civic leaders, and engaged voters. Attendees will experience candidate introductions, a moderated Q&A session, and open networking—facilitating an informative and respectful exchange of ideas.

The 18th District holds a powerful legacy, previously represented by icons such as Barbara Jordan, Mickey Leland, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Sylvester Turner. This event honors that history while creating space for the next generation of leadership.
